Banana Bread

2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup corn oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 tsp grated nutmeg
3 ripe bananas 
1/3 cup broken walnuts (optional)

Using an electric mixer, blend sugar and oil.  Add eggs; beat well.  Sift together flour,
baking soda, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.  Add to egg mixture and beat well.  Mash
bananas, beat until batter.  Fold in walnuts.  Pour into greased loaf pan.  Bake 50-60
minutes.  Cool on cooling rack for 10-15 minutes.  Remove from pan and cool completely
before wrapping.  Makes 1 loaf.
