Eggnog Cookies

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup salted butter, softened
1/2 cup eggnog
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 lg egg yolks
1 tbsp ground nutmeg

Preheat oven to 300*.  In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon
and nutmeg(1/2 tsp).  Mix well with a wire whisk and set aside.  In a large bowl cream
sugar and butter with an electric mixer to form a grainy paste.  Add eggnog, vanilla
and egg yolks and beat at medium speed until smooth.  Add the flour mixture and beat
at a low speed just until combined. Do not overmix.  Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls
onto an ungreased baking sheet, 1 inch apart.  Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
Bake 8-10 minutes.  Transfer to a cool, flat surface immediately with a spatula.  Yields: 3 dozen.
