Barbecued Beef Sandwiches

1 (2 1/2-3 lb) beef roast (round, shoulder or brisket)
Hamburger buns

Sauce:
1 cup ketchup
1 can beer
1 env. dried onion soup mix

Preheat oven to 250*.  In a medium-sized bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients.
Place roast in a roasting pan.  Pour the sauce over the roast and cook for 4 to
4 1/2 hours.  (Roast can also be cooked in a crock pot on low.) Meat is done when it
is so tender it can be pulled apart with a fork into shreds or pieces.  Place
shredded beef on buns and serve.

Note:  I like to serve these with any good bottled barbecue sauce poured on top.
