Hungry Boy's Casserole

1/4 cup onion, shopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped (optional)
1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 lb ground beef
1 lb can pork & beans, not drained
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 can (5 count) biscuits

Sprinkle onion, celery and green pepper in baking dish.  Crumble (raw) ground beef on top.
Bake uncovered at 425* for 20 minutes.  (Can also be cooked on top of the stove, if the casserole
dish can be used for stove top cooking), until beef is browned.  Drain off fat.  Stir in
(undrained) pork & beans, ketchup, water (optional), salt and garlic salt until well blended.
Return to oven for 10 minutes (or heat on stove).  Put 1 can biscuits on top.  Lower heat to
350*.  Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown and biscuits are not gooey on the bottom.
This dish is great served alone or with a garden salad.
