Baked Sliced Potatoes

4 lb baking potatoes
1/4 cup melted margarine
1/4 cup oil
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp thyme leaves

Cut unpared potatoes into 1/4-inch slices.  Place overlapping in 9x13 pan.  Mix melted butter
and oil, brush slices with mixture.  Pour remianing over potatoes.  Sprinkle with garlic
and thyme, salt.  Bake at 400* 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender and brown
around edges.  Serve immediately.  Good served with broiled steak or hamburgers, green
salad, and crusty bread.
